25 years Referro: the history.

Referro was established in 1991. We started with B2B retention marketing services. We assisted our clients to strengthen their relationships with existing customers by improving communication and service levels. The goal was to retain their customers and increase their share of wallet. Imagine services as news letters, customer events, satisfaction surveys, customer focus training and improving the customer experience. These are our roots.

Soon clients started to ask us for new business generation. They needed leads. These services started to grow and because of this Referro offered new B2B lead generation possibilities: database marketing, direct marketing and telemarketing. We developed our own specific way of data driven lead generation. We called this Tele Information Management. A combination of campaign creation, direct mail, database creation and telemarketing. For those days a innovative integrated approach of B2B marketing.

Further development.

We had to stay ahead of our competition and modern marketing developments. We kept reinventing ourselves, call it innovative or visionary, we see it simply as good entrepreneurship. We were ready for the internet, now online marketing is one of our strengths. In 2012 we were one of the first able to offer marketing automation with Eloqua, now part of the Oracle Marketing Cloud. We were masters in push now we have become masters in pull as well.

During the last 5 years we further developed our holistic approach of B2B marketing. We offer several modern tools and the competencies to build strong marketing machines.We use the Oracle Marketing Cloud, SugarCRM, Pentaho, and SharpSpring. No more telemarketing you might ask. No no, you will be surprised how much results we achieve with our telemarketing team. It is part of the mix of online and offline parts we use to build our marketing machinery.

By participating in BBN International (The Business Branding Network) we became international many years ago. The repositioning of the Leaseplan brand in 26 countries was one of our first international assignments. Now we regularly participate in international marketing projects.

Our right to exist.

During our 25 years of existence we gained tons of experience in lots of branches and with loads of different assignments. Always with the intention to create as much return of investment out of the marketing budgets of our clients. We force ourselves to be one step ahead in technology, know how and tooling.

We do better every year. We are proud that this has resulted in long lasting client relationships. And that is our right to exist.

The future.

Sound entrepreneurship asks for a vision of the future. In 2012 the founders of Referro Bart and Len Stovers started to think about the continuity of Referro. New insights and competencies were needed to assure Referro’s future.

In 2013 Gerard van den Bogaart joined the team to manage its transformation and in 2015 he took the reigns. Referro keeps growing. The number of clients increases yearly and we keep doing what we are best at: building successful B2B marketing machines for our loyal and satisfied group of clients.
